Build Your Confidence in Jehovah

I have too much to do
Can’t go in service today
Jehovah will understand
I’ll make it up another way
The Kingdom Hall needs cleaned
I wish that I could help
Today I have appointments
It’ll have to wait for now
There was a man today
I met in the grocery store
I gave him a contact card
But I should’ve said much more
The talk I was assigned
I gave to someone else to do
I have so much anxiety
I just can’t see it through
God asks me to trust him
And to put his kingdom first
He promises to bless me
If for the truth I thirst
He tells me not to worry
And that he has my back
He will provide what’s needed
Confidence I must not lack
I must remember those of old
And what they went through
For they were normal people
Just like me and you
They travelled to Jerusalem
Working in a foreign land
They left behind the comforts
And a city that was grand
Fearing for their safety
Meeting robbers on the way
How would they feed their families
If they had no pay
Jehovah sent the prophets
To help build them up
When opposers did attempt
The building work to disrupt
Materials contributed
Continuing for years
The king sent gold and silver
So did many of their peers
Despite the many challenges
With God’s help they got through
They had everything they needed
And I know I will too
Sometimes the help that I receive
Comes in unexpected ways
When I am feeling overwhelmed
Then I stop to pray
Jehovah gives me someone
Who loves him as I do
To help me regain strength
And build my faith anew
We’re living in uncertain times
I cannot give up now
Confidence I must maintain
He’ll help me through somehow
