Will Jehovah Answer My Prayers?

My Heavenly Father tells me
He will hear my prayers.
He wants me to reach out to him
And all my thoughts to share.

I know he wants to help me
Because he tells me so.
But when I stop to pray to him
My doubts I can’t let go.

Do my prayers reflect his thoughts
According to his will?
How can I tell what he wants
And all his wishes fill?

He is a God of justice.
He always does what’s right.
He may not be understood,
But all things are in his sight.

I cannot say for certain
Which answers are from God
I mustn’t be comparing
Answers I consider odd.

Eventually he’ll answer
Prayers for one and all.
Until that day he gives me strength
So that I don’t fall.

Sometimes it seems no answer
May mean he does not hear.
If I continue to persist
It may bring others near.

I cannot see what God sees
My vision is narrow.
He sees the bigger picture
Patience he does show.

I may want to be assigned
In his work to be used.
I’ll make my prayers a little broad
And let Jehovah choose.

While I wait for his answer
I’ll Take time to improve.
Study, prayer, and meditation
My love for him is proved.

I need to pray to see his will
Done in all the earth.
The answer is guaranteed
If I put his Kingdom first.
