Job's Children

Ten young people
we know nothing about
Except that their father
Was extremely devout
Job really loved them
Of that there’s no doubt
He sacrificed for them
So They’d not go without
The Forgiveness of sins
He knew nothing about
His sons were quite generous
And this really showed
They’d hold great banquets
All the siblings would go
They spent time with each other
This fact we all know
At the house of the eldest
on that day of woe
There were all together
When that wind did blow
The sides of the house
Not one had remained
Satan was treating
this like some game
Trying to force
Job to point blame
The anguish Job felt
When that messenger came
His children were gone
Life would not be the same
The love of that family
Will be felt again
When loss and emptiness
Jehovah does mend
In the new world ahead
The time we will spend
Getting to know them
And making new friends
In peace and happiness
That will never end
