Mildness is Strength

We live in a world
Full of anger and rage
The devil’s directing
The scenes on that stage

There are so many people
Filled with much doubt
Those ones are blinded
To what truth is about

Some prefer to be critical
Of things they don’t know
Rather than letting
Their ignorance show

There are others aware
That they’re doing wrong
And hate the fact that
To God we belong

These ones may attack us
By acting quite mean
They may use harsh words
Their tempers are seen

Mildness is strength,
despite what some think
It requires much courage
Not to cower and shrink

A mild answer by us
Can turn away rage
Thus softening hearts
And setting the stage

Mildness is not easy
It takes great strength
God’s Holy Spirit
helps us at length

Jehovah desires
All men to be saved
Our attitude helps
To pave the way

We must take the time
Our responses to ponder
On sensitive topics
Causing people to wonder

Does God really exist?
Does he care about me?
Did he truly create
all the things that I see?

Why does God allow
Good people to suffer?
Does he really expect
Us to love one other?

Does it matter to him
What choices I make?
And what path in life
I choose to take?

We may try to answer
But the scriptures can’t find
A quick prayer will help us
To call them to mind

The book of Proverbs contains
Many Verses to show
How mildness benefits
All The people we know

When we respond in
This gentle kind way
A new brother or sister
May be ours someday.
