Miraculous Provision of Bread

Bread is more
Than just delicious
It is also
Quite nutritious

Bread sustains us
This is known
But Man can’t live
On bread alone

Jesus gave them
So much bread
Feeding thousands
The bible said

Five barley loaves
And two small fish
Eating all that
They could wish

When all finished
Remnants gathered
Twelve baskets full
It all mattered

Jesus would be
The perfect king
Solving problems
Yes, Peace he’d bring

The people were
A tad impatient
Thinking he was
Being complacent

Jesus knew that
It was not time
To him God’s kingdom
Was always prime

That kingdom not
Part of this world
They must wait for
The plan unfurled

The people not
Of spiritual need
Looking only
For them to feed

Greediness
And selfish longing
Their hearts to him
Not belonging

Does my life show
Appreciation
For spiritual things
Anticipation

Physical food
Quite luxurious
Yet, It can be
Quite Injurious

Do we have a
Spiritual need
Or do we show
We’re ruled by greed

May we support
Our loving king
And give him thanks
For everything
